exploring the intersections between nonmonogamy & faith
3 sessions.
Tuesdays Sept 10, 17, 24.
7:30pm Eastern / 11:30pm GMT.
Join together with other nonmonogamous people of faith to explore how polyamory and spirituality enrich one another.
Here's the plan:
We’ll meet once a week for 3 weeks for about 90 minutes
Each week, Brian will bring some discussion questions to get us started exploring the intersections of polyamory and faith AND working through the real world implications of how polyamory and our faith communities impact one another
They’ll also be time for questions and feedback from Brian and we can also support each other in a facilitated peer support setting
We’ll spend some in breakout rooms for more intimate discussions!
What to expect:
- An intimate group of mostly nonmonogamous people of faith getting together to share our experiences, explore the poly possibilities of faith, and find ways faith and nonmonogamy enrich one another
- Monogamous and poly-curious folks are welcome to join too! We think that the wisdom of nonmonogamy benefits everyone (just know we’ll be centering the nonmonogamous experience)
- The calls will be primarily focused on “making our faith more infused with polyamory.” This is about looking at faith through a nonmonogamous lens and discovering the wisdom that unlocks. While practical concerns and considerations will come up, it’s not a group relationship coaching call.
- We take “it’s ok” as the starting point of the conversation. Need some reassurance? Check out Tricky Questions About Sex or Clobbering The Clobber Passages
Here's what you'll get out of it:
- More connections to other polyamorous people of faith
- An increased confidence in talking about polyamory in faith settings
- Practical tools for improving your relationships
- A plan for manging other people's expectations of your relationship
- A more expansive feeling of the sacredness of polyamory
- More ways to talk about faith and nonmonogamy together
