Clobber The Clobber Passages
Put the clobber passages to rest for good by learning how they’re misinterpreted, traps to avoid when talking about them, and how to lead people to LGBTQ affirmation
Whether you’re new to being affirming, on the journey to getting there, or you’ve been a supporter forever, you probably get asked a lot about those pesky verses that seem to condemn LGBTQ+ folks.
In this workshop, we go over all of them (including the ones used against transgender folks) and share why the people who use them to condemn LGBTQ+ folks are wrong.
But then we go two steps further showing you how even these passages might have a liberating message and how to use everything you’re learning to have more effective conversations with people still on the journey.
Your presentation really captured my imagination.
Can you have a healthy relationship with your LGBTQ kid if you don't affirm them?
Is it possible to have a healthy relationship with your kids if you don’t feel like you can affirm their sexuality or their gender identity?
It’s time to have a hard conversation about what love really looks like.
Mary's Understanding Of God
This passage from Luke is part of Mary’s Magnificat — a badass hymn that shows how she understands God. Already, before Jesus is even born, we see the seeds of what will become his ministry planted and nurtured by his mother Mary.
If you are a parent, you pass on values to your kids and help to shape their view of the world.
What will you teach your kids?
Even When Your Family Doesn't Get It
This episode looks at Jesus’ struggles with his family, their complete misunderstanding of him, and how queer and trans people can relate.
As you know, not all LGBTQ+ people have parents as open-minded as you. It’s important that, no matter how supportive (or concerned) you are, that you hear things from their perspective too.
Here’s one for you to consider.
