Privacy Policy
We know that many of you are just starting on your journey toward wholeness and might be concerned about your privacy. We totally get that and want you to know that we don’t collect personal information unless you give that information to us—creating an account, signing up for emails, etc—and if you do we will never share your personal details with anyone unless you give us explicit written permission.
BMSK Creative, LLC
QueerTheology.com is run by BMSK Creative, LLC. That’s the legal entity we (Brian & Fr. Shay) formed for our partnership on this project. We called it that, rather than QueerTheology.com, because we wanted a nondescript name in case anyone who wanted to join or support needed to not have “queer” in the name of the organization they were part of. We also recognize that queer theology is a genre and field of study bigger than just our work and website.
Information that is gathered from visitors
In common with other websites, log files are stored on the web server saving details such as the visitor’s IP address, browser type, referring page and time of visit. This information is not personally identifiable and, even as anonymous, will not be shared with third-parties. It is used only to optimize the experience of the website.
When you voluntarily share your information with us (to request information, to subscribe to email updates, to purchase a product), we collect the information that you supply. This may include, where appropriate: name, email address, address, phone number, and credit card information. Credit card information is always sent over a secure (SSL) connection.
You may use this site anonymously.
Visitor Options
If you have subscribed to our emails or supplied an email address when purchasing a product, you may unsubscribe by following the instructions which are included in e-mail that you receive. There is an unsubscribe link in every non-transactional (ex receipts or order confirmation) email we send.

Cookies
Cookies are small digital signature files that are stored by your web browser that allow your preferences to be recorded when visiting the website. Also they may be used to track your return visits to the website. It is possible to disable cookies in your browser settings and you are able to do so. Disabling cookies may disrupt your use of some features of this website such as logging in to member areas.
Community Guidelines
We strive to make our community a space that is safe and encouraging while being centered on the needs and lives of queer and transgender people. Allies are welcome on the site and in the community, but please be mindful that the needs of queer and trans folks come first.
We understand that some of you are dealing with traumatic experiences and lots of fear. Know that this is a supportive place but that we cannot be your counselors or therapists. If you are in crisis, please contact someone local to you who is licensed to help.
Our community is for people of all ages. If you are over 18 please be mindful of the ways in which you are interacting with people under 18.
If you have any concerns about privacy or about behavior in the community please don’t hesitate to contact us.
What happens when you make a purchase?
When paying with a credit card directly through our site, charges through our site will appear on your credit card statement as “Queer Theology.” We setup our PayPal account to be under the name Brian Murphy so that you can have a discreet way to purchase, if needed. Pledges through Patreon appear as coming from Patreon. Please contact us if you have any concerns about what information is displayed for billing or shipping.
Refunds and Exchanges
All products and community memberships purchased through QueerTheology.com are eligible for returns and refunds within 30 days of purchase (from date of initial purchase for recurring memberships), unless otherwise stated on the product sales or checkout page. Physical products must be returned before refund can be issued. We can only cover return shipping cost if the product was defective. We’re a very small budget and we keep our prices as low as possible, please be kind. We don’t have that Amazon money 😉 If you have questions about the contents of a product, you are welcome to contact us at connect@queertheology.com to discuss your questions.
Customer Service
If you need assistance accessing the product(s) you have purchased, please email connect@queertheology.com. We will work with you to get you access to your product as quickly as possible. Hopefully this never happens. And if it just happened to you — many apologies in advance.
