7 Bible Passages to Remind You God Loves You & Wants You to Take Care of Yourself
Does spending time with family fill you with a mix of excitement and dread?
I know it does for me.
There’s something magical about trips home but there’s also something terrifying about spending time with family that isn’t 100% affirming. For me, my family is supportive but I have a rocky relationship with my boyfriend’s family who aren’t all affirming.
That’s why we put together an LGBTQ Christian Guide to Self Care … so that no matter why you need the tools to take care of yourself, you’ve got ‘em.
That got me thinking… What does the Bible say about self-care?
So without further ado, here are 7 Bible verses to remind you that God loves you and wants you to take care of yourself.
1 Peter 5:7
“Throw all your anxiety onto God, because God cares about you.”
1 Corinthians 3:16
“Do you not know that you are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in you?”
3 John 1:2
“Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you”
Psalm 139:13
“For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother’s womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made.”
John 10:10
“I came so that they could have life—indeed, so that they could live life to the fullest.”
Genesis 1:31
“God saw all that God had made, and it was very good.”
Mark 6:31
“Come with me by yourselves to a quiet place and get some rest.”
